Franco Tompeterini was born in Genoa, Italy, and was adopted and raised in Erie, Pennsylvania.

After getting out of the military, Franco went to America National University in Denver, Colorado, and received a bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems (MIS).

Franco has over 40 years of food service experience, including being an area manager and district manager for a fast food franchise.

Franco enjoys writing because it allows him to escape back to his childhood and relive his carefree days of playing in the woods and exploring his surroundings. He hopes that his writing kindles a passion in children to explore their backyards and discover the hidden beauty that awaits them.
